Every man’s skincare guide

Variable weather and everyday strain show on the face. When you use products suited to your skin and daily life, you don’t have to fear the chaos of multiple jars or a greasy feeling on your skin. We’ve gathered the best tips for quickly caring for even the toughest skin.

Skincare is like training: regularity and consistency matter, and miracles don’t happen overnight. To achieve results, skincare should be built into your existing daily routines so it doesn’t get skipped.

Quick 5-minute routine:

  1. Wash your face and beard with a cleanser designed for them. Don’t use regular soap: its ingredients can dry out the skin and may even increase blemishes.
  2. Moisturize the skin around your eyes with a pea-sized amount of eye cream.
  3. Apply moisturizer to the entire face and neck. If the moisturizer itself doesn’t contain UV protection, let it absorb briefly and then apply a facial sunscreen suitable for the skin.

Longer self-care session:

  1. Aloita suihkulla. Suihkuveden lämpö auttaa ihohuokosia avautumaan sekä pehmentää partakarvaa tehden parranajosta ja ihonhoidosta miellyttävämpää.
    • Wash your face and beard with a facial cleanser while in the shower
  2. Also treat your face with an exfoliating product. When dead skin cells are removed from the skin surface, skincare products are absorbed better.
  3. Shave your beard — style is up to you.
  4. Dry the skin and apply your skincare products to the face in order of texture from thinnest (toner) to thickest (moisturizer and sunscreen).

A morning or evening skincare moment can be a small pause for yourself; a moment that refreshes or helps you relax. It doesn’t require much time, but perseverance and repetition produce reliable results.

Get your skincare routine in order

  • Skincare is like training: you need to make it a regular routine to achieve results
  • Using moisturizer morning and night is a great starting point
  • If you use several different products, their order of use is usually determined by texture, from thinnest to thickest
  • A facial treatment during a barber visit significantly enhances the effect of home care
