About the M Special Shave
What does M Special Shave include?
M Special Shave includes a straight razor shave across the whole growth area of the beard. The visit starts with a consultation and hot towels, which soften the beard hair and the skin before the shave.
After the shave, fresh towels are laid on the face. The service is then finished with a facial moisturizing treatment and a massage. M Special Shave is a thorough service, and it takes more time than M Beard grooming.
Your barber tells you before starting what happens during the visit and in what order.
Who is M Special Shave for?
M Special Shave is for you when you want the beard off completely. It also suits you when you want to try a traditional shave for no particular reason, or when you could use a moment of calm in the middle of everything else.
As an experience, the service is calmer than beard grooming. The towels and the facial massage take their own time, so set aside a little more of your day for the visit.
If you want to keep your beard shape and only tidy up the lines, choose M Beard or M Beard XL.
M Special Shave or M Beard XL?
M Special Shave and M Beard XL cost the same, €45, but they are entirely different services. In M Special Shave, the beard is taken off completely. In M Beard XL, the beard stays on your face and is given a different shape.
Hot towels are included in both. The facial massage is part of M Special Shave only.

What does M Special Shave cost?
M Special Shave costs €45. The price is the same at every M Room barbershop. It doesn’t depend on which barber does the work.
A haircut isn’t included in a beard service and is charged separately. You can have both in the same visit when you choose them as you join the queue. See our M Cut haircuts.
What can you add to M Special Shave?
You can add M Premium Extra services to your M Special Shave for €7–12 each. The most natural one with a shave is M Wax, which is nose or ear waxing.
If you’re also having a haircut in the same visit, the M Razor add-on gets your neckline and sideburns lined up with a razor as well.
You can choose your add-on when you join the queue in My M Room. You can also choose it with your barber at the shop.
Frequently asked about the M Special Shave
Yes. The service is intended for shaving off the whole beard. If you want to keep your beard shape and only tidy up the lines, choose M Beard or M Beard XL.
No. You can join the queue in advance in My M Room. Then come in to the M Room barbershop you chose as your turn approaches. You can also walk in and join the queue at the front desk. Do set aside a little more time for this visit, because the service includes towels and a facial massage.
No. Shaving doesn’t change how thick the hair is or how fast it grows. The hair is cut at its base, where it’s thickest, so it feels coarser for the first few days than a tip that has grown out.
Yes. The services are charged separately. Choose both as you join the queue, so that enough time is set aside for the work.
Yes. You can choose your barber at every M Room barbershop. You can also join the barbershop-wide queue. In that case the first barber who becomes free will serve you.
