M Beard XL is M Room’s more extensive beard grooming service. The shape of the beard, or its lines, are reworked considerably relative to your starting point. The service costs €45, and no appointment is needed at M Room.
The service includes a consultation, shortening and shaping the beard, line-ups with clippers and a razor, and hot towels.
Choose M Beard XL when you want a different shape for your beard. It’s also the choice when you want a lot of length off, or the beard lines moved off their natural growth lines.

What does M Beard XL include?
M Beard XL includes the same things as M Beard. The work is simply more extensive, and more time is set aside for it. The visit covers the consultation, shortening and shaping the beard, and lining up the neck, cheeks and mustache. Razor line-ups and hot towels are included in the price too.
In M Beard XL, the lines are first done with clippers and then finished with a razor.
The consultation is a little more thorough in an XL service. Your barber goes through the shape you’re after and what’s possible with your beard.
Who is M Beard XL for?
M Beard XL is for you when one of these applies:
- you want a distinctly different shape for your beard
- the beard is being shortened significantly
- natural growth lines are being moved, on the cheeks or the neck for example
- your beard is long and a big change is being made to it
- you want the razor finish as part of the service, not as an add-on.
So what decides it is your starting point and how big a change is being made.
If the lines are moved clearly off the natural growth lines, the beard usually takes more upkeep than before. Hair grows back where it was cut. Your barber goes through this with you before starting, so you know what you’re committing to.
When is M Beard enough?
Choose M Beard (€24) when your beard shape already exists and you want to keep it. The practical rule is simple. If you’re coming in to leave with the same beard shape, M Beard is generally enough.
If you only want razor lines on your current shape, M Beard and the M Razor add-on come to €31 together.

M Beard XL or M Special Shave?
M Beard XL and M Special Shave cost the same, €45, but they are entirely different services. M Beard XL is beard grooming, and the beard stays on your face. M Special Shave is a shave, where the beard is removed completely from the whole growth area with a straight razor.
Hot towels are included in both. M Special Shave also includes a facial massage.
What does M Beard XL cost?
M Beard XL costs €45. The price is the same at every M Room barbershop. It doesn’t depend on which barber does the work.
A haircut isn’t included in a beard service and is charged separately. You can have both in the same visit when you choose them as you join the queue. See our M Cut haircuts.
What can you add to M Beard XL?
You can add M Premium Extra services to your M Beard XL for €7–12 each. You don’t need to choose M Razor separately, because razor line-ups are already included in the service.
Popular choices with a change of beard shape are M Face and M Wax. M Face is a facial cleanse and moisturizing treatment, and M Wax is nose or ear waxing. Both suit a visit that falls before an important occasion.
You can choose your add-on when you join the queue in My M Room. You can also choose it with your barber at the shop.
Frequently asked about M Beard XL grooming
The difference isn’t in quality but in how extensive the work is. With M Beard, the beard is tidied up within the shape it already has. With M Beard XL, the shape or the lines are changed clearly, and more time is set aside for the work.
No. You can join the queue in advance in My M Room. Then come in to the M Room barbershop you chose as your turn approaches. You can also walk in and join the queue at the front desk.

Yes. The 10% student and school pupil discount applies to M Beard XL too. It’s available on weekdays from Monday to Wednesday.
If the lines are moved clearly off the natural growth lines, yes. A moved line grows back in from where it was cut, so the lines may need tidying up more often. Your barber tells you this before starting.
Yes. You can choose your barber at every M Room barbershop. You can also join the barbershop-wide queue. In that case the first barber who becomes free will serve you.
